Day One

After getting home from Katie's at three in the morning on Saturday night, I woke up super early on Sunday to get ready to go to the airport for a 10:40 flight. We left at about 8:00, and Ian came with us (: I was dying because I drank the night before for New Year's (can you blame me?), but anyway it ended up making for a good sleep on the plane.

During a fifteen hour flight, I watched two movies in between very long sleeps, P.S. I Love You and Jane Eyre. I had the pasta dish on the plane and was dying from a stomachache. After that was over and we landed in Johannesburg, we had to re-check our luggage and wait three and a half hours for the next flight, a two hour flight to Cape Town (which was 45 minutes late). 

Anyway, we finally arrived all exhausted and we were shown to our rooms and given dinner, then one of the girls and I had a walk around campus: 

There are definitely a lot of interesting and perhaps random things on campus, but it is beautiful and it is situated on the mountainside of Table Mountain: 

Which is absolutely beautiful, I can't believe we can see this from the windows in the dorms!! Speaking of the dorm, I officially have a dorm that belongs to me! It's all very exciting and it's already kind of a mess because we didn't have much time to change earlier but I'll show you anyway: 

They fed us at the dorms tonight and I didn't enjoy the food very much... The only way I could really eat the chicken was to eat it with a load of rice, but I guess I will get used to the food. I would enjoy a snack right now but I don't have any food or any drinks in the room unfortunately. I'll have to go to the market tomorrow and solve that problem. 

Anyway, that's all for tonight! Passing out at 9:15 PM, very unlike me :p
